Once taking the road to Vassilikos and have passed the pinewood there is a turn on the left of the road that leads to the beach of Agios Nikolaos that is situated 15km southeast of Zakynthos’ town.
It is a beautiful sandy beach with crystalline waters, which was named after the little chapel of Agios Nikolaos (Saint Nikolaos) that stands on the left of the beach and is thought to be the most cosmopolitan of Zakynthos island. The beach is well equipped with taverns, restaurants, beach bars and you can find lots of pleasant accommodation spread around it.
Sea sports, scuba diving as long as parasailing (when somebody is suspended in the air with a parachute pulled by a fast speedboat) are also available.
