Gerakas beach consists of fine sand and is thought to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Zante. It is located in a spectacular setting at the southern part of the island, in Vassilikos village and is one of the marine parks’ protected areas, as caretta-caretta turtles have chosen it to lay their eggs.
The beach is fully organized and thousands of visitors choose its deep blue waters every year for their summer baths. One other thing that makes Gerakas unique is the argyle of which all the cape is made of. So if you want your skin turn into silk don’t miss the chance to have an argyle bath.
Don’t forget to mention that the access to the beach is forbidden from half an hour before the sunset to half an hour after dawn due to the restrictions of the Marine Park.
